THREE MORE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES TO OPERATE IN MYANMAR

Three international airlines are poised to unveil direct flights to Myanmar in the open season, reported Eleven Media Group which cited an official of Yangon International Airport.
These airlines are Bangkok-based Nok Air and Business Air and Singapore-based Tiger Air.
According to the report, they are in talks with Myanmar aviation officials for the launch of new direct flights as of coming September.
“Nok Air, Business Air and Tiger Airways have made inquiries to launch direct flights to Myanmar as from coming open season,” general manager Win Ko of the busiest international airport of Myanmar.
There are 22 international airlines and seven domestic airlines operating in Myanmar now.

He also said these airlines have to pass the Civil Aviation Directorate to formalize their direct flights to Myanmar.
Myanmar has direct flights to Japan, Qatar, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Singapore, and Thailand.
Airlines from Brunei Darussalam and Vietnam are in talks with Myanmar aviation authorities to establish direct air links with fellow ASEAN nation.
